Dear friends of animals,

Come to the Rally this Sunday, September 4, 2011 at 2:00PM!

Why: The purpose of this event is to "stop the dog meat smuggling trade in Thailand" and to have the animals protection law in Thailand as many other developed countries.

When: Sunday, September 4, 2011 at 2:00 pm.

Where: Lumpini park ( Suan-Lum ) parking lot across street from Chulalongkorn Hospital. The nearest BTS station is Saladaeng; nearest MRT is the Silom Station.

Activities: With Bangkok Police approval and escort, the group will peacefully march along the street heading north to Rajaprasong intersection then, cross to the other side ( Police Hospital ) and walk back ( heading south ) to Lumpini park.

Who We Are: This event is organized by over thirteen Thai & Expat groups from all over Thailand, such as Soi Dog Foundation, SCAD Bangkok, small ad hoc groups who work to rescue, spay/neuter & find homes for soi dogs & cats, as well as many independent animal lovers.

Details: We ask that you wear a white t-shirt or your team's t-shirt - and to NOT wear RED or YELLOW since this event is not politically affiliated. Please feel free to bring your own dog or cat, signs( any language, but no curse words, please). Motorbikes and bicycles will bring up the rear, so bring your BIKE!

Come by the registration area on that day to join in and sign the petition. If you have any questions, drop me a note at mybestfriendslabAThotmailDOTcom. Hope to see you all there in support of this important event!

Thank you very much, Sunanta

Apologies, but here is a late-breaking change: No motorbikes please in the walk itself, as they may scare pets during the walk. Feel free to ride your motorbike TO the event, however! Bicycles are OK IN the walk/rally.

And bring your On-Leash Pet and doggie doo bags!

Thanks in advance!

thanks to all who came out for the rally and walk around Lumpini Park. the turnout was fantastic, in the thousands, and it was covered in all the major media. this is important to show that many Thais care about and oppose dog theft, smuggling and trade for meat.
