Opting out a teaching job before the term starts
You think there might be a corresponding thread on a school administrator forum somewhere that goes something like this? I recently offered a job in my private school to a foreign teacher. No contract signed yet, just a LINE message saying he got the job. He hasn't returned to the school since the interview but we've been communicating about the accommodations and such. Will I get in trouble if I decide to back out before the term starts? I am still waiting for an offer from a more suitable prospect. I am only planning to string him along until I find a replacement candidate. Is it different when the shoe is on the another glove? -

Should A Woman Be Allowed to hold the office of President of the USA?
True - but when a western man comes to Thailand and lives with a girl for 12 months, they are not technically married under Thai law and she cannot sue for divorce and get a chunk of his money. Likewise, if he comes here and marries her and they are together for years, the marriage laws are clear - they both keep what they started with and the rest is 50/50. That changes if any of his kids are involved - but not if they are her kids from a previous marriage/relationship. The marriage laws here are very much more fair to men, than what we have to suffer in our home countries. And most of us have suffered, and that is one reason many are here. -

Fxxx Knows, it was 37 years ago, I was not interested in the boring visit but it was part of the wedding protocol so I went along, I would rather have been at the pub having a few beers with my future brothers-in-law. And he was the vice president, I did not say he was the president. 🙄 If you are going to try and mock someone do it without making yourself look like a fool by quoting incorrect information. -

First, it takes a real man to drink over his limit, so he can´t talk about a problem in a calm manner. Total idiot, and such person we do NOT need in Thailand. In his own language he behave onmenselijk, which means barbaric translated from Dutch. Over to his very funny friend, that takes the change as a joke, and refrain from telling that when the problem escalate. Very good friend.
