September 3, 201114 yr Author I know someone from there and he told me that there has been heavy rain but no mention of house flooding. Thanks anyway, all cleared up now,bit of lao-khao madness, they all seem to slip off the rails now & then, they have had heavy rain, needing extended roof over restaurant (next to house) snake in the toilet, intermittent power, & more rain expected, regards songhklasid P.S. How's ubon fairing rain wise?

How's ubon fairing rain wise? Ubon Hash ran down by the river yesterday. Actually, I tell a porkie, we sat in the floating restaurant on the North side of the Moon River just below Wat Suppataranam and drank Tiger, Singha et al and enjoyed the early evening sunshine. The closest we got to running was when walking to the next bar, NJoy. Anyway the river was a fine sight in full racing flow (jogging pace) and high. Some minor flooding of properties close to the river along the North bank but nothing threatening the town. The last few days have seen some sharp thunderstorms but also long sunny periods. My guess is that there would need to be some much more prolonged rain in the Moon River basin before flooding became a serious issue for the city.
