RickSee
European national visiting on 30 days needs to remain a further 4 days in BKK. But ... limited free pages in passport, which are needed the following week. Of the two options - pay Bht 500/day penalty upon departure; or obtain 7 day overstay permission at Chang Wattana - which will occupy less of the remaining free passport space? Thanks, RS
lopburi3
Suspect they would be about the same - overstay stamp or extension of stay. The extension is wide but not very high.
beano2274
Go to Chaengwattana as if the police ask for your passport and you are on Overstay you could be put into the IDC.
saengsureeya
You could go on overstay, but if they notice it at the airport, they will put a stamp in your passport anyway. The stamp will say that you have been on overstay, how many days and what did you have to pay.
elgato
Not sure of the "need" to stay an additional 4 days might result in the "need" to stay longer. The limited pages obviously negates the Laos/Cambodia visa run as their visas are full page. The overstay stamp takes less than 1/3 of a page. Pay the fine and enjoy your overstay. How can you recommend an overstay? It is illegal and my end in the Bangkok Hilton. DO NOT OVERSTAY fatfather
