Tourist Visa To Australia And New Zealand For Thai Gf

I'm a UK national and I'm up to date with my own visa requirements for visiting Australia and New Zealand. I am aware of the different requirements for both countries. I've booked a cruise from Sydney in January and my Thai national gf is booked to go with me......I know she will have to apply for a tourist visa.

I'm in the fortunate position that I can cancel the trip without much cost at the moment. I would be able to provide the authorities with the requisite booking numbers, cruise confirmation, hotel details etc. My Thai gf will be able to show proof of sufficient funds for the trip, and she will be flying into said countries under my flight booking number too.

I suppose my question is, do Thai Nationals tend to have tourist visas granted for Australia and New Zealand, or are they often rejected?
