I have only seen the 1 String ones in Hotel Bathrooms, so maybe worth having a look in Hotel Supply Shops.

^ yes can find plenty of 1 string ones but none like the pic.

I've also looked in Kanyang and Boonthavorn and Index with no success.

If you have looked in all places above, to state the obvious, you probably arn't going to find one! Go online and order, I order quite a lot online, usually works out cheaper too, when you factor time and gas trailing and looking...

ebay and get one sent over from the UK, very cheap. You may even be lucky and get one from the 60's!!! Ahhh the good old days!

That's the conclusion I was rapidly coming to.

The thing is I saw them about a year ago in HomePro and thought 'now I know where to get a replacement one when I need it' but of course now they don't have them.

Any suggestions as to an online shop in Thailand to look at?

Thanks.

Neat looking device. I've never seen one, but haven't looked that hard. I could use something like that. If you find one, can you post back here? And I will also do some searching around.

<deleted> is it? Looks like something a guitar has.

It's called a 'lao tap par dteung sai' in Thai and is a retractable clothes line for a condo balcony.

I've got one in my front garden that a friend brought out from UK as I couldn't find any over here either. Brilliant piece of kit and I don't need to have one of those silly big frames for drying our laundry. I bet somebody could make a few bucks marketing these in Thailand.

They did used to sell them here, I saw one in HomePro about a year ago.

Now they have metal concertina types that only extend about 2 feet rather than a type that goes across the whole balcony.

have you tried the market shops that sell everything, or the Japanese 60baht for everything shops

Yes to both.

There's a couple of market stalls near my jobsite that I will try this week though.
