High Way Police

Featured Replies

I on many qccasions have been pulled over by the Highway Police for no reason, say I have to go to a given Police Station to pay the fine or that you can pay them tpo save money between 200 /500 Bhat it is much easier to pay them to get them off your back I will state again I broke no laws, but they make up their own rules.

I once got stopped for changing lanes too fast. If you go across more than a single lane, you have to pause in the middle lane then move to the next one, apparently... ermm.gif

23 years and have been stopped twice: once for overtaking on a double yellow line even though you could see a couple of klics of clear road (a bridge) and the second time for driving too long in the outside lane (dual carriageway), should have moved back to the inside as there was no traffic. I have driven from BKK to Songkhla on several occasions without incident, have driven several times from KL to Songkhla without incident. By the way I don't hang about when driving.

I stand there and argue with them. Usually after 15 or 20 minutes they give up looking for easier fish to fry

I agree with the above, I've been driving for 20 years here, 40,000 something kms spanning 54 provinces. I have been stopped on numerous occasions but never without reason. I have been stopped for non-traffic related reasons several times too (election day, alcohol check on Songkran, red shirt checks) but never! without valid reason

How to do? Talk nicely of course, be respectful. Of course we should go to the police station so that I get the opportunity tell your boss that you drag me there even though I haver done absolutely nothing

Great Blokes , give em a few bucks and thats it. End of Story. No big drama like the West over a few KPH Over The Limit. A limit i ad that should be at Certain Times, not 24/7 .

Ah, of course. When I have done wrong, then I happily admit that and respectfuly suggest that we help each other. Sometimes they take the money, sometimes they just lecture me and let me go
