Burmese Passport

I have a Burmese girlfriend who needs to go home for a month. As far as I know, she does not have a passport but has been working here in Thailand for over 2 years. I am worried that she may not be able to obtain a passport to re-enter Thailand. Does anyone have information regarding this? Thanks.

Hello Thaiguy:

As far as I know, your girlfriend is suppose to have a work permit working in Thailand. As I recall recently, and somebody on this board can correct me on this, Thai goverment is no longer extending Burmanese work permit any more. With out the valid work permit, it would be difficult to obtain Visa and Passport.
