BringMeSunshine
Hi 'scuse the noob question. I did search around a bit but couldn't find the answer. I'm going to do my first ever (tourist) visa extension soon. When is it best to get it done, e.g. on the last valid day of the visa;or on the day before (just to be safe); or say a week before (to allow for processing time). Do they process it there and then or do you have to put the application in and then come back later? If you apply early ( a few days before the end of the visa) does the extension start from the day of the application or from the expiry date of the visa? Do they ever refuse an extension ? UK passport, single entry tourist visa. Wiill use either Hat Yai or Satun office. TIA
swisstouristpattaya
never refused, they want your $. will you refuse 1900 baths for a stamp.? go 3-5 days before, extension is 30 days, even if you go 3 days before, it s 30 days after the stamp in your passport, not when you show up at the immigration office. you may pickup your passport 2 hours later if they are very busy, never happened to me. usually it takes 40-45 minutes in pattaya.
