Non-O Or Visitor Visa

Featured Replies

Hi, I would like to go to Thailand with my wife whom is a Thai citizen. We are married. I haven't worked for a year and can't submit my income tax form as I made no cash last year. Would it be easier to go on a visitor visa and apply for a non o when I get to Thailand or just put zero income on my non o visa application here in Canada. I have money saved from investments. Thanks

Check out your nearest Consulate you should be able to get a Non Immigrant O with a copy of your marriage certificate.

How long do you intend to remain in Thailand? If just several months tourist is fine but if you want to stay longer the non immigrant O visa is best. There should not be any requirement for income proof to issue visa in Canada. You can not obtain a non immigrant O visa in Thailand - only a non immigrant entry if in process of one year extension of stay with proof of 400k in Thai bank account. If you have income from investments just put that down on visa form in Canada.
