September 22, 201114 yr My daughter was born in Thailand, has a Thai passport because of her Thai mother. She has since gained British citizenship. In the Future if she gives birth to children in the UK, will they automatically gain Thai citizenship as she is a Thai mother. (I am aware that as she is a British citizen 'by descent' she would have to give birth to children in the UK for them to gain British citizenship, and nowhere else.) September 22, 201114 yr Thai citizenship in most circumstances at present is passed down via blood. The parent can be born anywhere, and so long as they are a Thai citizen, they can pass that down to their children.
