Non-B Help While Waiting For Teacher'S License

Featured Replies

in typical fashion it's become hell getting this teacher's license... it's already been processed and apparently it's "in the mail", but they were supposed to send a fax also to bring to immigration. well the officials in bkk are at a meeting today and my Non-B expires on MONDAY, so my plan is to make an extension on monday and hopefully will get the license or a fax of it at some point next week.

Can I at that time make the work extension if I've already extended the week waiting for the license?? possibly my semantics are off, but you understand my drift...

if that's not possible, what about overstaying until the license comes? if i overstay my non-B until the license arrives and then pay the fine, will that make an issue with getting the working extension?

thanks much...

Do not overstay your visa.

I believe that you will then have to start over, possibly on a tourist visa.

Ok, as to the first part...Can I extend and then assuming I get the fax or the license comes in the mail next week, can I go back and still get the work extension?

i can't imagine this is an uncommon situation...

I am going to move this to the visa section, since it really is a visa question and I don't know if your going to get many answers here--at least not very quickly.

Hopefully you will get better answers in the visa forum. Best of luck.

figured teachers would be a bit more knowledgeable about this specific situation...

regardless, it's a moot point as the fax came through...

thanks..

I am glad the fax came through.
