Everything is set!!

Me and my friends are going to visit Phuket in Feb. 06 and we plan to stay there for three hot weeks.

Can anybody give us a hint on where to get cheap flight tickets?

Thx,

Wauschi

Go to travelocity.com, find a good fare, then avoid the annoyances of thr rest of travelocity's booking system by giving the flight details to your travel agent. Mine has never failed to beat the fare (Flightcentre).

It would be a sensible thing to asume this poster is Oesterreicher, oder?

Then this is certainly NOT the best of advice:

Go to travelocity.com, find a good fare, ONLY from the USA!

However, both Germany and Austria have 100s of webbookings/agencies, or direct on austrianair.com

The newspaper from yesterday said it was already 90% fully booked and runs just 1/week (sat) upped to 2 after 1/1. This likely means all really low fares have ben snapped up, most likely by Austrian travel-agents. But then at least you get full M&M miles.

Or as always: via BKK (also direct on EVA, likely cheaper) and a change there.

www.aua.com

austrian airlines flights (not longer than 4 weeks stay) should be around 500++

real good deal even though I am not aware if they got same rates in feb.

singapore air has got vie-phuket connections too. maybe the BEST way to go.

enjoy!

Emirates is quite good and reasonable price, Eva Air is also good and of course, Austrian Airlines ( used to be better ). Jordanian Airlines, Air France, Bangladesh Air are cheaper. But I like the 3 above.

Vienna-Phuket Direct Flights

AVIATION NEWS

Austrian Airlines has become the first company to fly direct to Phuket, it has been announced. Their first flight took place last Saturday when they flew 245 European holiday-makers to Phuket. The inaugural flight was at full capacity, with 90% of seats booked well in advance. Reservations on flights until February are also nearing capacity. It is estimated that the airline will bring as much as 40,000 tourists per year which could mean income of up to 3 billion baht for the island.

The airline committed to the Vienna-Phuket service in March which gave them time to properly market and promote the service. They spent over 15 million baht on advertising and PR. Austrian Airlines will now increase the service once a week this month to twice a week next month. It is expected that Austrian Airlines will be the first in a long line of international companies returning to Phuket.

They offer direct flights VIA BANGKOK.

Not playing the game is it.
