Does A Siam Commercial Bank (Scb) Atm Car Work In England?

Recommended Posts

yes you can, but they charge 100 THB withdrawal fee, plus the rates can be pretty bad.. i have even used my scb card in the shops in england.. although it is quiet funny watching them looking for the chip to realize it is not there, but then they just swip your card and you sign ...

but make sure you let SCB know you will be using your card abroad

As the other poster says yes it does (used in Barclays ATM) and yes 100 baht fee BUT as I posted before on this forum earlier this year the exchange rate was very favourable on that occasion ?

Also as per previous post I had never used the card for years in thailand or anywhere for that matter let alone telling SCB in advance that I was going to use it-to say I was surprised when it worked is an understatement.

Examine your SCB ATM card, and ensure that it has symbols on it for some of the international ATM networks (Plus, Cirrus etc.) If you did not specifically request an international ATM card at the time it was given to you, you may have the domestic-use only version.
