Hi guys

I wana take a trip to thailand in january. I have done some searching for a flight. I was able to find some flights at around $700 return(Seems like a good price). I contacted the retailer(flight centre and student flights) to equire about these tickets. The kindly informed me the ticket is valid for only 35 days. I am wanting to go to thailand for 2 months. When i asked for a price on a +35 day ticket i was informed the starting price was around 1400 + around 200 in taxes.

To me these prices dont make 100% sence. Am i really going to have to pay 1400 + to travel to thailand for +35 days. Is this a normal price to pay? Thanks

skoperism double check the 35 day as it is normally 30 days right on the button and the airline scream at travel agents who miscalculate - 700 incl taxes seems excellent other than that you are into a 1 year ticket & yes 1400 + tax depending upon which airline it can be x$'s >< the one year applies to 31> in my experience.

All my information is assuming you are ex Sydney. Brisbane can be cheaper Royal Brunei and exPerth is definately cheapest out of Aust.

I can't tell you whether it's a "normal" price, but I can tell you first, that airline pricing often seems to make no sense and second, that fares do normally increase as the ticket validity lengthens, just as they normally increase when you have more stop-over options, refund rights and such. Generally, the cheapest tickets offer the less flexibility.
