Hi all,

My husband has writen this sponsor letter for Family visit visa for me.

Would anyone give feedback about the content of the letter.

Thanks in advance

I write in support of my wife, Mrs XXXXXXXXXXXXX application to visit me in the United Kingdom for a period of 3 weeks ( Max 1 month).

XXXXXXXXXXXXX is my wife and she resides in Thailand. I first met XXXXXXXXXXXXX in Bangkok on the XXXXXXXXXXXXX during a short visit to Thailand and over the next three years this developed into a very strong relationship. We were legally married on XXXX AND whilst we are apart we communicate by phone and on Skype on a daily basis.

My wife is not fully decided on where she would like to settle with me in the future, so my wife's visit would enable her to see the life in UK as there is a huge difference in society and culture between UK and Thailand.

As I am presently unemployed but my brother is willing to sponsor her visit and pay all the necessary travelling cost and any other expenses that she might incur during her stay in the UK without any recourse to public funds. (Attached is brother's Sponsorship Declaration). I also take the responsibility to provide her accommodation in my 1 bed room flat for which I get a housing benefit. I assure you that I have enough space available in my falt for her.

It is my intention to convince my wife to settle in the UK with me in the future, so we will not jeopardise any future applications by breaching the terms of a visit visa, should one be issued. and my wife will return to Thailand after her visit to the UK

I thank you for taking the time to read this letter, I trust that we have been able to provide sufficient evidence that my wife is a genuine visitor.

Please feel free to contact me on XXXXXXXXXXXXX should you have any questions regarding this application.

I would add details of your circumstances in Thailand; for example your employment, if any, or how you support yourself if you don't work. I'd also add "In support of my wife's application I enclose the following documents" and then list the supporting documents.

My suggested alterations in addition to those suggested by 7by7:

It is my intention to convince my wife to settle in the UK with me in the future, so we will not jeopardise any future applications by breaching the terms of a visit visa, should one be issued. and my wife will return to Thailand after her visit to the UK

I thank you for taking the time to read this letter, I trust that we have been able to provide sufficient evidence that my wife is a genuine visitor, and that she is likely to leave the UK and return home at the conclusion of her visit.

Thank you 7by7 for your kind help :)

yes I am working and I will include my emplyment details.

One more question 7by7: Do I need to add detail about my husband circumstances in UK and do i need to include his bank statements?

I am asking this because his brother is sponsoring me and I have included his brother's employemnt detail and his brother's bank

statements.

thanks again

Your husband needs to provide details of the accommodation you will be sharing, which he has done, together with evidence that you can stay there. That is either proof that he owns the property or, if he rents, a letter from his landlord granting you permission to stay there.

As your brother-in-law is providing the finance it is he who needs to provide the financial evidence. I see that your husband has said why this is so in his letter, which is good.

Here is the final version of the letter:

Dear Sir or Madam

Re: Family Visit Visa for Mrs XXXXX,

I write in support of my wife, Mrs XXXXX application to visit me in the United Kingdom for a period of 3 weeks ( Max 1 month).

XXXXX is my wife and she resides in Thailand. I first met XXXXXin Bangkok on the 20th July 2008 during a short visit to Thailand AND Over the next three years this developed into a very strong relationship. We were legally married on XXXX 2011 AND whilst we are apart we communicate by phone and on Skype on a daily basis. (A complete list of attached supporting documents is on the next page)

My wife is in full time employment with a ..... company and have been for the last 3 years. She is working as a XXXXX for in XXXXX and her current annual salary is XXXXX and annual bonus is approx. XXXXX.

My wife is not fully decided on where she would like to settle with me in the future, so my wife's visit would enable her to see the life in UK as there is a huge difference in society and culture between UK and Thailand.

As I am presently unemployed, my brother is willing to sponsor her visit and pay all the necessary travelling cost and any other expenses that she might incur during her stay in the UK without any recourse to public funds. My brother has put £XXXX aside to pay for this ( please see brother's bank statemnt in appendix and brother's Sponsorship Declaration). I also take the responsibility to provide her accommodation in my rented 1 bed room flat for which I get a housing benefit. I assure you that I have enough space available in my flat for her and her stay in my flat will not result in any additional recourse to Housing benefit.

It is my intention to convince my wife to settle in the UK with me in the future, so we will not jeopardise any future applications by breaching the terms of a visit visa, and my wife will return to Thailand after her visit to the UK

I thank you for taking the time to read this letter, I trust that we have been able to provide sufficient evidence that my wife is a genuine visitor, and that she is likely to leave the UK and return home at the conclusion of her visit.

Please feel free to contact me on XXXXXXXXXXXXX should you have any questions regarding this application.

Thanks for any input about this
