Hello all

Sorry this subject again. I plan to come to thailand in december and i hope to stay for a year or two, i'm a directer of a company which owns property and i want to check out the condos avaliable in thailand, now there's no guarntee i will buy and i plan to travel and enjoy my time there more than to look at property everyday, but i will be looking and maybe buying, so my question is could i get a business visa for the 15 months stated to check out potential investments. Also i may look into investing in bar or restaurant as a way of staying if i love the place.

I know the hull 1 year multi entry 90 day visa would have been best but i believe it's hard work these days?

I know i can find ways to invest and stay long term if i wanted to, but i'm trying to understand ways to get 1 to 1.5 years there to work it all out and see if it's for me, and see if the business or investments are worth while, i'm 33 yeras old which i believe counts against me.

Please could someone tell me my best options, and tell me what i need to prove for a business visa, or is there still a good multi entry visa avaliable.

Thankyou

Short answer is NO.

Business visas or sometimes described as work visas are for those employed in Thailand, setting up a legitimate business or already own a legitimate business in Thailand, not for just thinking about it..

Investing in a condo or any other type of home in Thailand is not considered as a business.

I also doubt that you would be able to obtain a business visa for running a bar.

With a letter from your employer, whom I presume to be outside Thailand, stating that you need to travel frequently to Thailand during the next 12 months on business and giving a summary description of the nature of these business trips you should qualify for a multiple-entry non-B visit. Talk to the consulate where you plan to apply.
