There is a feral cat in my moobaan that I feed and she just had a litter of kittens. I don't want her to have any more and want to have her "fixed." How long untill her kittens are weened and not in need of her care and she can be taken to the vet for this procedure. I don't want to miss the window where she becomes fertile again and gets banged-up by the local toms before I can get her in there

Female dogs are bitches, cats are queens ;)

Anyway, assuming she is friendly with you and will allow you to catch her, its important to know that momma cats can become pregnant while still nursing so best to 1. see if you can keep her away from males and 2. wean kittens by 5 weeks and get her sterilized soon after, full mammary glands could make the surgery more difficult, so try to get the kittens weaned and her away from males as long as possible. Sterilization during heat is possible, but may take a bit longer due.
