My friends and I are planning to explore Siem Reap this semestral break but a bit worried about the flooding on the way.

I suggest that you post your question on the Khmer440 forum for Cambodia expats (google 4 it). Bit dodgy if the rains continue to be as heavy as in recent weeks would be my guess.
