However trying to get on or off the Hong Kong tube system needs elbows of steel.

To my childish glee I was boarding a HK bus many years ago and this really fat Chinese lad in his 20s at the back of the "queue" was quite roughly pushing past people to get on. Grannies, women, kids etc. When he tried it with me ( 6 foot 2 and fairly well built and him being quite shorter ) he got a nice discrete elbow in the mush as I assumed a blank, innocent " not really paying attention to my surroundings " look on my face . That slowed him down.
