russianrobert
The company i will work for be getting me a work permit. Are they obliged to provide health insurance as well? Is basic medical insurance in Thailand included with the work permit or can the comapny refuse to provide it and is it then up to me to find and procure it? That's for any clarification or comments. Mario2008
Normally you can enter the social securtity scheme., which inlcudes small health coverage.
TerryLH
"...social securtity scheme., which inlcudes small health coverage." 'Small' coverage? What does that mean? Social Security is actually pretty good. OP, a work permit does not include any medical coverage. As Mario said, many people are eligible for Social Security coverage, many others are covered by private insurance paid for by either themselves or their employers. Ask your employer what they provide.
