Depends on which English test she is taking? BULATS, Pearsons?? My wife did the BULATS back in May when it was 5600thb, I believe its now 7000thb. Its made up of a speaking test and a computer based test and as its a business language test the questions are based on that. I don't think there is a valid to date but I remember reading that its recommended the test is taken again after 2 years if required

My girlfriend took her English test a month or two ago. It was a major PITA because she doesn't live near Bangkok.

Half the centres on the approved list wouldn't test her or couldn't test speaking. I don't think BULATS test is available now.

In the end she took a 2 day trip to some office in Bangkok. 10 candidates sat on one side of the room chatting loudly while each person was taken to the other side of the room for testing in turn. She couldn't hear the questions because of the noise. Fortunately, she passed.

The Bulats test is available now we use it every Thursday.

Is IELTs available? It will not be any cheeper, but is recognised by the universities if further study outside Thailand is going to be persued.
