Thai Embassies/Consulates In Aus

Featured Replies

With the closure of the Perth consulate, are there any 'easy' embassies to approach in Aus for a 1 year mult. ent. non-imm B visa? I hear the Canberra one is very strict (as you might expect) and require significant documentation. I realise that there are set guidelines for issuing these visas but, as with the case in Hull, all consulates do not require ALL documents - some are much more willing to issue these than others.

I have a letter from an employer (in NZ) stating my need for travel to Thailand, etc. The company, however has no branch currently in TH but are considering opening one in which case I would stand to get a full work-permit.

Will this be enough at any embassy/consulate in Australia that anyone is aware of? Any thoughts, comments much appreciated.

Try a honorary consulate in Australia, rather than Canberra. Embassies are in general more strict than consulates and honorary consuates are less strict than general consulates.

Many people report good experiences with Brisbane.

I applied for a Non-Immigrant Multi Entry "O" Visa a number of years ago at the Thai Consulate in Brisbane. They just stamped in my Passport Non-Immigrant Multi Entry "B" Visa. I had no paperwork except the usual ID and Photograph, filled out the application form there and was all done in one hour.

I would say with your paperwork from your company, you would have no trouble getting a "B".

Yes, Brisbane to best one to try!
