Dear All,

Is there is any Cruise Services from Bankok - Hong Kong?.

Maybe, and if so, very rare and high-season only.

IF there is some kind of cruise in asia, its 99% STARcruise: google them up, or simply, and much easier, when in BK/Thai: pop into any local tr-agent.

do NOT expect US-style cruiselife on them, its 99,99% (chinese) asians: that means gambol.

Hi -

Yes Starcruises but they only have service between Bangkok - Hong Kong about 2 times a year. The rest of the time they travel down south. But I beg to differ about US style cruising. I have been on them several times from Singapore to Phuket and weekend cruises to nowhere out of Singapore and they offered all the amenities one would expect such as nightclubs, restaurants, entertainment and the like. Yes they have a casino, and yes they are gambling the weekend away but you don't have to take part as all the rest still going on!

I'd like to go on a cruise, but the thought of sharing a boat with a load of chinese gawking at you and gobbing on the floor. EeWWW. :o:D

Maybe I'll save my Baht and go on one of the cruises to Alaska.

Why would they "gawk" at you and "gobbing on the floor. Nice racist remark. As far as Chinese passengers there are few if any. Malaysian or Singaporeans, yes of Chinese descent. Out of Hong Kong sure there are Chinese (but few mainlanders. But again I've never seen gawking or gobbing. Maybe it's you they gawk and gobb at? You certainly got my attention with that remark. So yeah it would be good idea to save your baht and cruise to Alaska. Oh but don't forget Star Cruises (Malaysian Chinese Owners) own most of the cruisers now going up to Alaska such as Norwegian Cruise Line, NCL America, and Orient Lines. Did I mention Cunard? Maybe it better if you stay at home.

Star cruises took over NCL (Norwegian Cruise Line) and Orient Lines. With that they became one of the mayor players in the international cruisemarket.

Cunard though, was taken over by Carnival cruises and later merged with Seabourn Cruises. They later 'demerged' again and Cunard exist now as an individual brand under the Carnival Coproration.

Have a look for cruises fronm Bangkok to Hong Kong with those ships which make world cruises. Both cities are often called in the schedule, it might be an option....

Thanks "To the Beach"  you are absolutely correct!  Wow - I'm impressed you are right on top of the cruise market!

Thanks!

It might be no surprise that I actually worked for most of the mentioned lines....

Feel free to direct more requests for info about cruising in my direction.
