Help - Extending Apec Visa For 3 Days

Featured Replies

Hi

I am hoping somebody can give me some advise on how to extend my 90 day visa for 3 extra days.

I knew that my visa was nearly up but stupidly didn't check the date stamped in my Passport and bought some tickets Vietnam for the same date (26th) as I arrived 3 months ago - to my horror I just realised that the date stamped in my passport is the 23rd.The tickets were a promo deal on Air Asia and include tickets for my husband (who doesn't need to leave - he is just coming along to keep me company) so changing the dates for both of us is going to add quite a bit to the price..Is there any way I can extend my visa for a few days?- I have an APEC card - which entitles me to a 90 day visa - I read on this forum you can pay a 1900 baht fee to extend a tourist visa - does this apply to all visas? Do you get a black mark against your name for doing this? as I don't want to jeopardise my APEC status.I did consider doing a border run - but with all the flooding I'm not sure that is a great idea either. Thanks for any advice you can give me!

Form BKK I believe a border run would be no problem, but border run agencies can advise you better of the current situation.

With the ticket out of the country in 3 days, you might be able to get an extra 7 days at a price of 1,900 baht if you visit immigration. Take a passport photo with you.

3 day overstay will cost 1500B..... Not the best thing to do, but cheaper/easier than an extension or visa run.
