I remember reading somewhere in this forum when I first stepped onto Thai soil that Representative Office is no longer an option for foreigners to obtain a work permit and Visa.

Does any one know if this still holds ? Because I continue to see advertisements in Bangkok Post by law firm providing services to foreigners who intend to set up a representative office.

In short, can we set up a RO in Thailand and obtain a long term Visa via this route ?
