Swift Transfer To Thanachart Bank?

Featured Replies

when I used siam ciity bank before the takeover I used a code similar to this new one for Thanchart thbkthbk to transfer money from home via swift, then another bank identifier number, think it was four numbers. Now the new bank says I don't need another number just the swift code, does not seem quite right, I could go in and ask again but they were insistent. As it took them one hour fifty minutes to issue me with new books and they had previously told me the Thanachart swift code was the same as the old siam city code (it's not) then I don't have much confidence in any info from them Are they correct in saying all I need now is the swift code and account number?

I was recently able to wire money from my US bank to K-bank using just the Swift code, my name, account number and the Branch name where my K-bank account was located. Good luck!

The standard information required to transfer money between Banks is the receiving Banks SWIFT code and the beneficiaries name, Bank, branch and account number. At times Banks will ask for an IBAN number which is pretty much limited in use to European Banks. Not applicable here in Thailand.
