Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am a British citizen and am currently in Thailand on a tourist visa, which is valid until 17th December 2011, which is the date my flight back to the UK is booked for. I did not purchase a re-entry stamp when I got my visa. I am now thinking that I would like to leave Thailand for about a month (to travel to Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia) and reenter on around December 4th, from Cambodia. Then I would like to stay in Thailand between the 4th and 17th Dec. How would this work with my visa? Can I purchase a reentry stamp when leaving Thailand? Or will I be able to get a separate 15 day visa when reentering from Cambodia.

Thanks very much for your help in advance!

"Or will I be able to get a separate 15 day visa when reentering from Cambodia."

If you return overland you'll get a 15 day visa exempt entry. If you fly in, you'd get 30 days.

If your dates are good, the plan will work nicely for you.

You can only buy a re-entry permit in Thailand, at an immirgation office. Cost is 1,000 baht for a single. As said, looks like you don't need one has a visa exempt entry will give you enough time.

Great- thank you both very much for the help! I just wanted to check I was still able to get a visa exempt entry after entering using a visa for 30 days or so.
