The difference between the various View Talays
Among the many View Talays, VT 7 is, from what I've heard, generally considered the best and View Talay 1 the worst (excluding the View Talay Residences, which I don't know much about.) Does anybody know why this would be the case. Is VT 7 really better than VT 5? And nobody seems to like VT 8 -- what would be the reason for that? And what about the VT Residences? How do they compare? Nobody seems to talk about them much either. Just curious -

Do you believe in God and why
Actually, I initially thought you were posting a quote from a Red Phoenix post, but never mind. The placebo effect is not fully understood and more research is required. Also, most of the research relates to the effectiveness of drugs administered to cure a disease or ailment. However, I found the following study of the "Placebo Effects in the Context of Religious Beliefs and Practices", which you might find interesting. https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/behavioral-neuroscience/articles/10.3389/fnbeh.2021.653359/full "This study investigated placebo effects in the context of religious beliefs and practices. The participants received an inert substance (tap water) along with the verbal suggestion that the water would come from the sanctuary in Lourdes (a major Catholic pilgrimage site with reports of miracle cures). We investigated changes in resting-state functional connectivity (rsFC) in three brain networks (default-mode, salience, cognitive control) associated with the drinking of the placebo water." "Immediately after the session, the participants reported increased intensity of pleasant bodily sensations (e.g., feelings of warmth, tingling) and feelings (e.g., gratefulness) for the “Lourdes water” condition. Conclusions: The present findings provide the first evidence that placebos in the context of religious beliefs and practices can change the experience of emotional salience and cognitive control which is accompanied by connectivity changes in the associated brain networks." -

Three American Bully dogs maul 70-year-old man to death
And if that happens the American person is held responsible under law. long jail, even execution in some countries. If an American Bully does same the dog might get put down, when it is just being itself by following it’s instinct or training and the human owner suffers no consequences other than maybe paying money. That makes sense to you? -

It's time to put this Progressive Left-wing Conspiracy Theory to bed
You have no clue of what you’re saying, the same as Wray when he said “cartridges” opposed to the correct term casings. I suppose you believe a 5.56 or 7.62 round would blow up a flat cardboard target, which probably has the same density and thickness of an ear. Well I’ll tell you from experience that it doesn’t, it leaves a hole the size of the diameter of the round. -

All traffic signals and signalling should be completely OPTIONAL. I hope that one day soon, I can configure the removal of said green arrow. Next you know it, we will have to use our indicators while posting Topics. -

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
From looking at the latest MEA, repeat, MEA (not PEA) EV Charger Promotion it does not show or mention use of a 2nd meter like their earlier EV charger promotions. MEA is for the Bangkok metro area. The latest promotion (below) which seems to address the case of needing a 2nd main line from the meter to a circuit breaker box shows a Main Line to the home main circuti box and also a 2nd Main Line going to the EV charger circuit breaker. I fully expect the 2nd main line would be an above ground even if a person current main line is underground.. Apparently both main lines merge and then connect to "one" meter on the pole...does not show an option for a 2nd meter like maybe a TOU meter (or even regular meter) for the EV charger. Instead only one meter would be used....the resident would probably need to chose to run the entire home and EV charger under regular meter tarraff or TOU meter tariff...not allowed to have a regular meter "and" TOU in a typical residential situation. I expect most (not all) people would go with the regular meter tariff since the power used by home (i.e., A/Cs, TVs, heaters, etc.) throughout a 24 hour period 7 days a week would probably exceed EV power usage used periodically thru the week for a short period(s). And a person would probably prefer not worrying about trying to avoid peak usage periods when powering the home electrical equipment like A/Cs, TVs, water heaters, etc). But I realize some people can get by just fine using a TOU meter 24/7 and actually save a significant amount....each person's power usage requirements will be different...especially when they need to use certain electrical equipment and various other reasons. https://www.mea.or.th/other-services/ken/S3Lhgkpt/ev-charger -

Hong Kong policeman’s fatal fall from baht bus sparks safety outcry
If he was getting on the songthaew he would have been leaning forward and usually grabbing a rail to pull yourself in. It takes at most 2 seconds to step up and in, and it does not look like that person boarded at that point. The video shows the vehicle moving forward at a constant speed at the time it records the person in question. The person is not facing forward as he would be if he was getting in at that point, the person is facing away from the driver when he exits and his feet go down and he falls towards the driver backwards as the vehicle moves forward (and he is not in a spinning motion). The back of the persons head hits the ground hard... One person is who saw the person fall on the ground ran to him, there were no other people responding to the incident. -

Just what is life like in Rural Thailand- ever wondered ?
Brought the wife to USA. Just seems like a better life here. 4 seasons, cleaner air, water from tap is all I've lived on my entire life. Safe, everything close by great view of mountains. No loud music, no roosters or dogs or monks making noise. But I do wonder if we were to move to Thailand where we would be happy. Wife and I like gardening. I see some farang show nice estates with a pool, beautiful yard and flowers and garden. They have gardener, maid for cleaning and such. Nice shop to make and fix stuff. I could do that I think. Did spend 21 days in wife's village. I survived. Lots of relaxing and no one makes you feel guilty for not doing much all day. Didn't appreciate the local drunks who could be passed out by 10 am. And the bettle chewing old gals. Some of the kids have fancy electric scooters. Burning trash is true and just trash dumped everywhere in Thailand. Not a fan of soi dogs. -

Definitely scared of debating with Harris. She will rip him to shreds. -

Good news for US Christians
Sunday morning Christians, come Monday morning it's back to "cut throat" economics. Far removed from the teachings of a lowly itinerant preacher that lived 2000 years ago. -

Three American Bully dogs maul 70-year-old man to death
I just searched and the results gave in that I am more likely to be killed by an American person than an American Bully. -

Thoughts on the opening ceremony at the Paris Olympics
In my view, Olympics Organizers are always too conservative. This is why, in Beijing, Plant was, so mistakenly, not invited. Plant would have been too much for the Commies. Page was invited: But, Plant, sadly, was not. Plant would have been Too Powerful For Karl Marx, and Marxism!: There is just NO ACCOUNTING for TASTE!
