In Store Extended Warranties

Featured Replies

I spotted this advert for what looks like some type of extended warranty / damage / theft insurance , the part that really caught my eye was the Apple iPhone cover at 699 Baht , now I'm not too sure about the terms and conditions to all this is, but I'm sure there will be some , just wondering if any one else had seen this Advert or had actually paid for the cover .

I used to work for Staples Office Supply store back in the U.S. in the early 1990's.

They pushed those Extended Warranties on anyone buying electronic equipment such as computers and the accessories such as, Keyboards, mice, webcams, tablets, speakers, monitors, and routers from Apple, D-Link, HP, Linksys, Logitech, Netgear, Microsoft, and more.

The prices where high and they would tell the customer. "If you don't purchase this plan, we will not be responsible if anything happens to your .................".

So, in my view. Extended Warranties only benefits Insurance companies and Staples Office Supply stores. Not you.

If they push this on you, simply tell them politely to “shove it up you’re a**s.”

Good day.

IME the only warranty worth a sh*t is from the manufacturer.

Stores will keep you waiting for months if you try to claim. :bah:
