Lite Beer
You need to visit Immigration and convert your current permission of stay to a Non Imm Visa. From there you apply for a 12 month extension based on Marriage. Not sure if Phuket Imm will do the conversion. They may send you to Bangkok. You will have to ask them as not many offices will do it. lopburi3
Cost will be 2,000 baht to convert and 1,900 baht to extend.
dafyduck
you must have alt least 21 days left from your tourist visa to be able to apply without having to go out and in again.
lopburi3
That 21 day requirement has not been used for some time now - as little as 7 days or even less is often allowed.

aligator727
Hello, thanks a lot for your answer, can i do the conversion to immigration office of Krabi or Surat Thani or Ranong ? Can i do in bangkok if i live in phuket ? What document i need to provide please ? Thanks you so much
lopburi3
You can only use the office serving your location. If they do not make conversion they will send you to Bangkok for that only and you must return to make actual extension of stay. You must meet the conditions for one year extension of stay to make a conversion (but money would not have to be in account required period for actual extension of stay). LivinginKata
Thanks lopburi3 what document they ask to do the conversion please ? Cheers My guess would be copies of your passport, copy your marriage certificate, copy you wife's ID & Tabian Baan, copy bank book or proof of income, copy your accomodation contract. I would also guess you wife would need to accompany you to the immigration office and make a written statement. Much the same as you will need later on when applying for the one year extension
