Jesters to celebrate 15th anniversary

PATTAYA: --The Tahitian Queen go-go (Beach Road) will play host to the 15th anniversary of the Jester’s Motorcycle Club on Saturday afternoon and evening, 29 October. The Jesters have helped to raise literally millions of baht in the cause of charity in Pattaya over the past 15 years and could, I guess, be described as a charity with a motorcycle fetish. Put it this way, if you have any doubts as to how to locate Tahitian Queen on the long stretch of Beach Road, well, just look for what may appear to be a used motorbike sale yard and you will have found it.

The Jesters Annual Charity Fair is one of Pattaya’s major events (held each September) and a lot of people devote countless hours to making the event a success. One of these is ‘Woody’ Underwood, the boss of the Tahitian Queen, simply referred to by most aficionados as the TQ.

Hmmmm TQ's: I also used to go there a lot as it is a good place to get a drink during the day if you don't fancy the beer bars.

I stopped going when I noticed both staff and some of the patrons refusing potential customers that were not WASP's.

I don't think I'll go back until it adopts a more enlightened door policy.
