Just arrived today to wait out the Bangkok floods. Any suggestions for places that opened very recently. I like very clean places and I've learned new is all that works here for me. Up to 1500 baht, but cheap and new is fine. Thanks for your help.

I think you will like this place... good location and relatively new...

I've stayed here a couple of times before moving to Chiang Mai and highly recommend it. Riverside House Just across from the Iron Bridge at Loi Kroh and Chiang Mai-Lamphum Road.

In case this helps anyone in the future, I ended up here. It's pretty good for what it is. Clean. Good bed and bedding. Good AC. Very nice people.
