No pets allowed at public parks in Bangkok

BANGKOK: -- The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has issued a new regulation, banning pets from all public parks in the city.

The ban followed a number of complaints lodged by members of the general public on troubles they had faced in the public parks caused mainly by

pets' droppings.

"The new regulation is particularly targeted at canines and pupies which were most often brought to the parks by their owners," a BMA source told journalists.

"The ban is also aimed at keeping the city's public parks clean for those who want to enjoy their physical exercises and other recreational activities," said the source.

So where will the snake men of Lumpini go to??

They should ban the "Chinese Karaoke Singers" too...

So basically, it's going to produce more dogshit on the streets. :o

Why don't they ban the 'droppings', allow the dogs to exercise and fine the owner if he doesn't 'poop scoop' after the dog. Another revenue for the government. :o

Anyone ever seen a bin with a "pooper scooper" back back home?

Obviously no Thai has :o

Soi Dogs I'm sure won't mind. :o

We have in Denmark, and when you walk your pet, you have a special little plastic bag, when your pet shits you pick it up with the bag, and drop it in one of the bins provided.

That's at least the way it's supposed to work :D
