padeakin
I have a 90 day O visa that expires 10 Jan 2012, I am researching and planning an application for a one year Ext based on marriage. I have few questions When should I apply? is this normally done a few days before the visa expires? Do I need to make and appointment or just turn up at immigration (Sakhon Nakhom) I read somewhere that as well as the wife, I should take someone else with me, a neighbour or someone, is this really required? Thanks in advance for any advise.
beechguy
Apply with about 30 days remaining on your permission to stay, I don't think you would need an appointment, but you could ask, also you may ask about bringing a neighbor. Most offices do require a map, photos, and sometimes require a home visit. Edited November 3, 2011 by beechguy
lopburi3
Most will not accept more than 30 days early so mid December should be fine. Doing early give you time to get someone to visit or other paperwork if asked. Most places it is you and wife that must attend.
