On the way back from the bank having just got my cheque for the wifes ILR,£972, like a lot of other hard working people in the UK, who have paid our dues and jumped through all the Immigration laws, and after 26 months of living in the UK and working paying tax,(both of us), I went to get a Morning paper, there was a sickening headline that made my blood boil. A UK Judge in his wisdom has given an illegal Immigrant £17k who has committed 20 offenses after arriving in the UK.The 23 year old arrived in the UK as a stowaway in 2003 and immediately claimed asylum. Over the following 3 years he was convicted of more than 20 offenses including property damage, dangerous driving, and attempting to obtain property by deception, he was given a number of jail terms, he was also trying to avoid deportation and used at least five aliases at times claiming to be British,Italian Moroccan, Algerian and stateless.He was taken into custerdy to establish where he was from.You guest it , he claimed His Human rights that he should not have been locked up, also he was given public money to fight his case.And won, Why do we, the people who live by the laws of the land get screwed all the time. As the paper states , The UK is the laughing stock of the world. I suppose this is not Thailand related but just shows you how unfair the UK Boarder Agency are
