Unthink Dot Com, The Anti Facebook Network

Featured Replies

I set up an account on unthink.com. I did it because I was looking for a site that seems to have the courage to represent the user instead of just being an info mine run by hackers.

It is still in beta, but I hope it gets mainstream so I can say goodbye to Facebook forever.

If you can find the clips that pop up from the bottom of their page, the first two give a good idea about what the site is about.

I guess there are no guarantees that they will be any more honest or trustworthy than FB and G+ but at least they appear to be fighting info mines.

I've found hat the beet way to avoid info mines on Facebook and G+, and now, unthink, is not to register with them in the first place.

So I have no need to worry about how dishonest or untrustworthy they are.

Indeed.

I dont have accounts on any "social networking" (aka "fatuous superficiality") site, and have no intention of ever having one, yet I don't feel that I'm missing anything in life.

Well it is fine to not use social networking, but I have found recently that the kind of mingly socializing has been beneficial for maintaining important relationships overseas as well as given me a passive way to keep people updated on my projects over here. I cannot replace this with email. It is not the same. And the plane tickets are too dear to fly as much as I would like.

I hate facebook, but it has been extremely helpful recently.

dam_n. I thought I was the only person without a Facebook account.

Not Thai-related.
