Municipal Garbage Collectors caught taking drugs in Na-Jomtien

PATTAYA: -- Seven Municipal Garbage Collectors, three of which were found to be illegal foreign immigrants, were arrested by Marine Police based in Sattahip District on Friday afternoon. The Police Unit received information that three Na-Jomtien Municipal garbage trucks were parked in a remote area and the workers were secretly taking drugs at the location. Officers arrived and seized seven workers. Three of them were Cambodian Nationals who were unable to provide passports, suggesting they had entered Thailand illegally. Although no drugs were found, the five men and two women were taken to a nearby Hospital where they were urine tested. Each person failed the test and was therefore charged with consumption of a class 1 drug
