Hello again fellow posters. It would appear right and proper that its time for us to give thanks once again. This year in particular, as for the most part we have escaped the serious floods that plague Bangkok as we speak/read/write; at the moment we have no serious intramural government bickering; tourism is down, but not completely out; and the weather is very pleasant. There are other things, of course , like hopefully having our loved ones safe and healthy and to whatever extent, peace upon the land. ..... and individually we all , looking inside ourselves, really do have things to be thankful for.

.....and in passing, our Pun Pun Family will be expressing our thanks, in part, with our annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner. If you would like to join us at The Pun Pun, please give some thought to the following:

Note : Yes , there will , this year, be a childrens portion. Under 12 years of age is half price.

Note 2 : Just as an afterword. This is not an exclusive American Event. Last year about half of the guests were non-American.

People who had read or heard about The Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner, but weren't aware of the start, or the meaning

behind it all. It really was good to tell of the start of the TG Dinner and the why of it.

...and yes, I am sure very few will finish all of their dinner, so doggy bags, [boxes] will be available for take home leftovers.

Is that sweet potato pie in the picture? I ask because it looks suspiciously like pumpkin pie. Pumpkin pie with ice cream. Last time that I was offered that was in the U.S., but I didn't have room for dessert - but I ate it anyway. Doubtless this will be the same thing.

Yes, and apologies for not making mention of one of the most important parts of the TG Turkey Menu, YES, there will be Cranberry Sauce Jelly included with the dinner.

For those who called and those who may have been curious, The Pun Pun is Roasting 'Butterball' turkeys.

Others may be ok, but we have found the the Butterball is worth the few additional baht you pay. Comes out a lot more moist and tastier I think.

The PUN PUN would like to announce that we will again be putting on our annual Traditional American Thanksgiving Day Dinner

I am sending along the dinner ‘Bill o Fare’, for our , Thursday the 22nd November , Thanksgiving Day Dinner

I thought it would be interesting to just update last years post, so those interested will be able, without the trouble of digging it out, check out how little the price has changed and see what was written last year.

The Menu

THANKSGIVING DAY DINNER

At THE PUN PUN

Seating times:

We have set up 3 Dinner Set Times.

The first 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

3:00 PM to 5:00 PM

And last 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

I do hope that we can host your group this year , and if so please get back to me with your preferred dining time, If you are able to utilize either of the earlier 2 sittings, it would be greatly appreciated.

We are a small guest house and do have limited dining space available.

Also, again, this year we will be providing the same dinner on the Sunday afternoon the next weekend. Sunday the 25th. Same seating times.

Folks seem to appreciate the Sunday sitting, as many do have work or other obligations on Thursday, a normal work day here.

Just to clarify things a bit, as some may have taken it wrong.

I didn't mean to imply, if it was misconstrued, there will not be Thanksgiving Dinners available from Thursday thru Sunday.

We will be having the Traditional Thanksgiving Day Dinner at the 3 sitting times on Thursday the 22nd, and then again will have the 3 sitting times on Sunday the 25th of November.

Apparently a couple folks thought it would be available Thursday thru Sunday.

Hope this clarifies the times and thanks to those who have already booked. Good to see returning guests and well as some new folks..... looking forward to meeting you all.
