DEREK-C
I have a Thermex water heater which needs the heating element replaced. I have tried the supplier in Bangkok, but they could only supply a complete new unit. Any ideas where just the element could be obtained?
lopburi3
From Google I would suspect the UK. It is not easy to obtain parts for most equipment imported from Europe here in Thailand as the market is not large enough to support much inventory. And in many cases buying a new units may be the cheaper option. Perhaps a unit you can repair locally.
chownah
It is my understanding that some water heaters of different brands use the same elements. You might take it in to a shop and see if they can find one that fits....or...around here there is a man whose job is jixing things...he is very adept at adapting things and making them work....he's an adept adapter.....maybe there is someone like him in your neighborhood. Kringle
I would be careful of getting things fixed by "FIXIT" guys as if they don't have the exact replacement part, they might modify it and cutout a safety source. Wouldn't want to be doing the electric shuffle while taking a shower now would you?
