Looking For Accomodation On Koh Chang (The Big 1) In April

Dear Expats and travellers,

hope you have some advise for me for a cozy place to stay on Koh Chang, White Sand Beach, in April next year just after Songkran.

We'll arrive around the 16th till 20th of April and going to stay till around the 28th. We're 4 adults + probably 1 child and would need 1 room with 2 beds and 1 room with a double bed. The room should have privat bathroom with hot shower, fridge and fan. Additionally a telly and pool would be perfect

I've been on Koh Chang last in 2004 and unfortunately couldn't recognize much at my last internet investigation. Mostly I've seen posh hotels and resorts, what isn't my style exactly, and too expensive btw. So I really hope some of you can recommend some nice and cozy place, what doesn't cost more then 1500 Baht a night and room.

recommend Paddys Palms at the south end of White sands. New hotel, has nice pool and short walk across road to beach ..

aware of songkran around that date? many Thai also holidaying-and likely you come from/via BKK-wet till it drenches
