17 year old girl beaten unconscious in North Pattaya road rage incident

PATTATA: -- A 17 year old girl was beaten unconscious in an apparent case of road rage which began in North Pattaya, in the early hours of Saturday. The girl and her 19 year old boyfriend, Khun Sawigorn were taken to Banglamung Hospital, where Police took up the case and spoke with the pair. They were on their way home and had stopped at the traffic lights in North Pattaya where it intersects with the Sukhumvit Road. A man in a car behind them claimed he was forced to brake sharply after the bike cut across his path. The claims were initially ignored by the pair who continued their journey towards the entrance to Highway 7 where the car pulled in front of them and forced the bike to stop. The driver of the car approached the pair and was seen to have a gun. He proceeded to strike Khun Sawigorn across the face with the butt of the gun and then repeatedly struck the 17 year old girl until she fell unconscious.
