Two men with guns and drugs caught at Pattaya Police Checkpoints

PATTAYA: -- Pattaya was on lockdown in the early hours of Saturday as Pattaya Police set-up checkpoints at the South, Central and North Pattaya road intersections with the Sukhumvit Road with the aim of catching those involved in criminal activities. Two people were arrested as a result of the checkpoints. Khun Poobaert aged 43, the owner of a local Karaoke Bar was caught at the South Pattaya checkpoint with a semi-automatic handgun and 15 bullets. Although the gun was licensed, it was not in his name so he was therefore charged with illegal possession of a firearm in a public place. The second man to be arrested is Khun Anupong aged 28, who was caught with a gun and 1.05g of Crystal Methamphetamine
