Transfer From Uk To Kasikorn Via Chaps

Featured Replies

Has anyone had any recent problems ( delays ) sending money to Kasikorn from the UK.

I transfered my wife some money 12 days ago and it has still now shown in her Thai account ( I have internet banking setup so I confirmed that ) .

Would love to know if is just this transfer or a problem with the system in thailand perhaps.

I would check it out SWIFT payments take 24-48 hours excluding weekends.

Who is your Uk bank? I use nationwide and they have a unique transfer number where they can trace where the payment is.

Check first that all account details you entered were correct (acc name, acc number, swift code etc) and that it has been debited to your account and then ask your bank to place a trace on the transfer as it hasn't arrived.

As somebody else said, UK to Kasikorn transfers are quuick. Normally appearing next day for me.

I made a transfer from my Nationwide account at 17.00 Thai time, 10.00 UK, on Monday and it credited to my Kasikorn account at 09.00 the following morning.

It was the same timescale last month.

As far as I know CHAPS is for UK transfers.

A SWIFT transfer is needed for overseas.

If you tried using CHAPS as you stated the money could well still be in your UK bank.
