Do you think it is poisonous ?

I dont think so-can not find enething who said that:

The elephant-trunk snake has a small and flat head with short and egg-shaped body. Its body is soft and its skin is not smooth with a lot of tubercles. If over the water, it will be yellow in color. But if under the water, it will be dark brown in color. <br class="clr"><li class="even typeTextarea group1">Habitat / Food : This type of snake is frequently found in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia. The elephant-trunk snake eats fish and some kinds of aquatic animals, and it, normally, searches for food during the nighttime. <br class="clr"><li class="odd typeTextarea group1">Behavior / Mating : Normally, it lives in the gutter, canal, river, or marsh. It is usually strong and agile under the water. When catching and lay it on land, it will be motionless like it is dead. It is not fierce and has no poison. It searches for the food in the water. When it catches the fish, if the fish wriggles, it will use the tail to dig the mud or try to search for any items for holding. It is the snake normally living in the water so it is not fast when living on the land. It is very good at swimming. The elephant-trunk snake may give birth to approximately 25-30 newborns per time. The newly born snake will be approximately 29 centimeters in length and it is able to search for food immediately

Wow, that is monstrous! We just finished the rice harvest, and encountered several pretty big snakes including a 1.5 metre cobra - I think death comes within 3 hours of biting! I do like the occasional snake stew, but MIL won't cook or eat cobra :-(

I did invite them up to Meridien for thanksgiving dinner today, but they just don't like that falang posh nosh.

Talking of snakes this was quite Big.

Now that's what i call a Snake.:)

If you overfeed a python - will it become overweight? (referring to the python at Ban Ruammitr - Chiang Rai).

I saw an extremely obese one in a cage in the Philippines once.

I believe the snakes are kept drugged so they can be handled easily.
