That link has the addresses/phone numbers. Don't know about auto insurance but you can call their branch and see.

Actually I'm not familiar with AIG. Are you sure that is correct? There is another one called AIA. Here is a list of insurance companies.

This is the first time I will have arranged insurance in thailand. Do you know if I will be able to arrange cover over the phone with credit card to pay, as I understand that insurance companies require photos of the car prior to issuing cover??

Not sure because I have a person at the university here that does it all for me (Chiangmai). Some companies will send a representative to your place to handle all the paper work and monies.
