It sounds like I'm an alcoholic and need my Guiness but I only buy a can once in a while.... mainly for cooking. Beef stew with Guiness is a great favourite of my friends.

I went to buy a can of Guiness at Villa yesterday and they told me that they have stopped selling it.

Anyone know where I can buy a can nowadays?

Not flood related, apparently it is no longer imported into Thailand, I tried all over last month for it and ended up going to a bar and buying some draught for my irish stew, great with half a pint of Guiness and half a pint of a good red wine! Lucky for me some friends arrive next week from Northern Ireland and are bringing me a few cans!

yes, I think I'll have to buy some draught Guiness from a bar. Good excuse to go there.

Actually I found a pub on Thong Lor that imported a few bottles of Guiness from Malaysia or somewhere, but now it has closed down.

Irish stew or beef stew just isn't the same without a little Guiness.

I think the main problem is an inefficient Distributor in Thailand.

About 6 months ago - after many requests from myself and other Members - the RBSC and the Polo Club started selling Draft Guinness in the Bars, after about 3 months the Club removed the Dispensers and stopped selling completely. I asked why and was told they simply got fed up with very late deliveries or just not having the deliveries turn up at all as promised.

I drank a few pints of draught Guiness at the Ploenchit Fair at the weekend,180 Baht a pint, so I suspect supplies are still getting through.

Have to admit to not seeing cans for a while though, I was in Macau a couple of months back and I stocked up at 32 Baht a can, sadly all gone now, it's almost worth another trip.

You may try Lao Beer Black lager..i seen them at Makro..or Big C cant remember...

Yes I like Lao Beer Black Lager but it's not the same as Guiness or other Stout beers. I've seen them in Makro and Villa.
