TRAT PROVINCE LAUNCHED A SPECIAL CENTER TO COUNTER COLD WEATHER

TRAT (ตราด) Province has launched a special center to help residents cope with the chilling weather. At the same time, more than 2,000 sweaters will be distributed to those affected by the weather.

Head of TRAT Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office BOONCHUAY NOISUNTIE (บุญช่วย น้อยสันเที๊ยะ), said that the center has been established because the cold weather is getting more severe. The governor of TRAT heads the center while related agencies have been acting as committee members. The center has been monitoring all areas in the province to check on the condition of the residents. 2000 sweaters are on their way to be distributed to those severely affected by the weather.

Mr Boonchuay added that those affected can request for assistance from their own district offices.
