Bringing Prescribed Drugs To Los

Featured Replies

i'm currentley taking tablets prescribed for backache.these contain codeine. could there be a problem bringing these to thailand. would it be ok if i have prescription.

Leave them in the bottle / package with the pharmacist's info on it, and get a letter from your doctor and carry it with your papers.

Thats what I had to do for a while when coming to LOS. I used to declare them and mostly the officers wern't interested.

One trip the guy wanted to see my letter from the GP, it was in a sealed envelope and when I went to open it he lost interest and sent me through.

I have since had an operation to sort things out but last trip I didn't bother bringing any stuff with me just went to the local Hospital and got what I needed from there. :o

Hi garbol

Dr's advice is spot on. I occasionally suffer from migraines, plus being a female, always travel with plenty of prescription medication and have never had any problems. :o

Nat,

Just out of interest...is it more common for a female to need prescription medicine than a male?

It is if she controls her months to exactly 28 days :o .

Apart from this, most of the medication is just precautionary - women tend to be prone to certain things, such as cystitis which is not pleasant and if not dealt with can lead to a kidney infection. The joy of being a woman :D
