I am Irish and my wife is Thai. She has 1 boy from a previous relationship. I would like to change his surname to my own. I was wondering how I would go about this?

Name changes take place at the amphur and much will depend on them. Normally a name must have a meaning in Thai, so this could be a problem. But as said, much depends on the local amphur.
